There are many good reasons! You can come to our farm, select a tree and be on your way in a few minutes but that is not the focus of our efforts. We strive very hard to make this a very pleasant and memorable holiday experience that includes the purchase of one or more very nice Christmas trees at reasonable prices. Some of the other ingredients include a pleasant drive on picturesque country roads, a safari through our scenic Christmas tree fields in search of the "perfect" Christmas tree, warming up near the wood stove in our Christmas barn, relaxing with food and hot drinks at the charity bake sale, browsing through the wreaths, maple products, and tree accessories, viewing the display of antique equipment and watching our electric train display. We have trees and plants with roots available in the Spring and early Fall. We have both hardwood and softwood trees, Mugho Pine plants and hardwood and soft wood mulch for landscaping your yard. Our customers range from individuals to large families with multiple generations. Many of our customers have been coming since we opened our Choose & Cut in the early 1970's. Each member of the group may have different high points in this adventure. There is a lot more going on here besides the purchase of a Christmas tree. We look forward to serving you soon. Activities available for visitors: Choose Your Own Christmas Tree We are proud of the variety of trees from which you can choose at our farm. Not only do we have eight different species but we have many different sizes to choose from. We have most of the species in the 5 foot to 8 foot range which is most popular but also we have four foot trees in some species and trees up to 20+ feet in some species. Secluded But Accessible Twin Ponds Cottage Every year we have Christmas tree customers from out of state who exclaim over how beautiful and peaceful this part of Vermont is. For approximately twenty years we rented Twin Ponds Cottage to people from all over the U.S. who have been impressed with the quiet beauty of this area. We have a lovely cottage in the midst of our 200 acre Christmas Tree Farm and on Twin Ponds, a natural body of water with controlled access, that just became available for vacation rental again. Hours Available: We are open for the general public to come and pick your tree out and have us cut it each Friday, Saturday and Sunday between Thanksgiving and Christmas from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Lodging: Vacation Cottage for Weekends in November & December or for summer weeks |
