Picture New England at its best with your friends and family dining at long tables, beautifully set with colorful seasonal flowers, enjoying extraordinary food and delicious wines, the late summer sun setting over the lake. Join us for this unforgettable evening at Ariel’s, in celebration of the local farms of the Floating Bridge Food and Farms Cooperative.
On Sunday August 20th rain or shine, join us for our 3rd Annual Farm-To-Table Dinner By Sunset Lake - a North American Three Sisters Celebration Dinner under the trees in Ariel's Garden in Brookfield (inside Ariel's if the weather does not cooperate). There are limited seats available for this dining extravaganza and we always sell out, so book early!
This year, we will celebrate the Native American companion crops of the three sisters of Corn, Beans and Squash symbolizing friendship and our interdependence. Join us as each course explores this theme with a regional twist. The three sisters create a special alchemy together in the field and on the plate. In legend, the plants were a gift from the gods, always to be grown together, eaten together, and celebrated together.
The symbiosis and interdependence of three sisters is inspiring to our Cooperative. We formed our Cooperative to both serve as a support system for our members and to better provide our neighbors and visitors with authentic farm and food experiences, ultimately deepening appreciation and understanding of our working agricultural community.
In our Cooperative and our community, we are lucky to have a variety of farms as well as the talents of Lee and Richard of Ariel's Restaurant. Our annual dinner, like a three sisters plot, celebrates the magic of our diverse offerings woven together. And the feast, like corn, beans and squash served together, provides physical and spiritual nourishment as we together celebrate our special place in this season of abundance.
Arrive at 5pm for a "Meet The Farmers and Producers Happy Hour" with wines and a special signature cocktail available for purchase. At our Tasting Tables you can try delicious products made and grown by our Coop members.
Dinner will be served promptly at 6pm featuring a five course, plated meal which will take you from New England, with sweet corn chowder, to the southwest, for some of Chef Lee’s famous Mole, to the south, for a taste of smoked ham with greens and of course some Indian pudding with delightful fruits for dessert. Enjoy the best of the seasonal and very local product grown and raised by Floating Bridge Food & Farms Cooperative members, and prepared by Ariel's Chef Lee Duberman.
