Do you think that all honey tastes the same and has the same texture and color? If you do, you have obviously been buying honey in the supermarket.
On August 10, 2014 Brookfield Bees will provide you with an opportunity to find out more about this unique food product that we can enjoy courtesy of the honeybee. There will be a talk about honeybees, how they make honey, the floral sources of nectar, and how those floral sources affect the taste, texture and color of honey. Discussion will be followed by a sampling of honey from around the world. Each participant can choose one honey source for the entire group to sample. There will be honey to choose from over 15 countries (including South Sudan, Pakistan, Iceland, Ethiopia and Australia) and over 17 States.
Audience: Suitable for all ages
Price: $5 per person
